Crossing The Road: A Chicken-Themed Journey Through Lynnwood History
Growing up in Lynnwood, 12-year-old Luzminda Galvez is pretty familiar with all the city's landmarks, such as the Interurban Trail or the Alderwood Mall. But how did those places come to be? When her fearless, chicken-loving twin brother accepts a job as a "tour guide" for Lynnwood, Luzy finds herself dragged along with him on a whirlwind through history, from the pre-American west coast to the technological future! Can Luzy keep up with history long enough to get them both home again in one piece?
CROSSING THE ROAD is a 20-page junior comic about the history of Lynnwood, Washington. Created as a collaboration between artist Natalie Leif and the Lynnwood History & Heritage Board, this comic is a great way to introduce children to history, culture, and chickens.
